This acceptance by the Linux Community follows extensive compliance and stability testing in order to meet the required rigorous quality standards. A unique feature of the device is its ability to allow the original SDIO client device drivers to be used via a USB port on the host system greatly simplifying the design process and allowing virtually any client device to be used in existing system with no software changes. This flexibility is a key user benefit as for example new WiFi chipsets are regularly being introduced to the market. The VUB300 is fully compliant with both USB2.0 and SD/SDIO Specification Version 2.0, it comes in a 6x6mm 36 pin QFN package.
