The company is now back on Kickstarter with an updated version with more subtle lines and shapes that can gradually serve light animations as sound waves are transcribed into power pulses activating pre-programmed lines of the electro-luminescent ink.
The small USB-chargeable modulator is powered by a 5V lithium-ion battery (DC5V) and fits at the back of an adjustable strap for easy mask set up. Connecting cables are hidden within the strap, reaching the lines of phosphorus ink screen printed on a translucent conductor. The electro-luminescent part of the mask is padded with 1mm of high density foam for a protection and comfortable to wear. The v2.0 version of the mask weighs only 80g and comes in 8 new designs, with possibly more to be designed as stretch goals as the company has already reached five times over its initial 9921 € goal.
