These high reliability switches come in configurations from single pole single throw (SPDT) through to SP10T, allowing a microwave signal to be switched from a common input to a number of outputs.

The switch architecture can be defined as normally open, failsafe and latching. All models are available with or without indicators and TTL drivers as standard options. A range of transfer switches completes the series.

Paul Grimmett, AtlanTecRF Operations Manager, said, "The introduction of this range of switches is in response to strong customer demand. Particular interest has been shown from the automatic test equipment and communications industries where reliability, consistency and performance are key. Low PIM switches and high efficiency self cut-off latching switches that once switched do not draw further current are popular choices”.

Typical performance figures of 0.5 dB maximum insertion loss (18-GHz), 60 dB isolation and standard operating temperature range of -25 to +65°C means the swithes are suitable for a wide range of applications. Enhanced performance versions are also available.
