Elektrobit rolls Autosar software for Synopsys Safety Processor IP
The combined solution provides a new hardware-software platform and makes it easier for semiconductor manufacturers, OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers to develop software applications based on the Autosar standard. It shortens time to market for complex ECUs used in applications such as ADAS, infotainment and gateways, and vehicle-to-everything systems (V2X) in modern vehicles.
The ARC Functional Safety Processors support ASIL B and ASIL D safety levels. This simplifies the development of safety-critical System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions for vehicles and accelerates ISO 26262 qualification. The portfolio includes the safety processors ARC EM22FS, HS4xFS, EV7xFS and VPX5FS with integrated hardware safety features for detecting system faults. The DesignWare ARC MetaWare Development Toolkit for Safety (EM22FS, HS4xFS) helps software developers develop ISO 26262-compliant applications faster. To accelerate the early software development phase, Elektrobit Classic provides Autosar for the ARC EM Software Development Platform and the ARC HS4x/4xD Development Kit. A microcontroller abstraction layer (MCAL) abstracts the hardware devices and is available for each platform. This allows engineers to start software development immediately. The ARC Functional Safety Processor IP is based on the ISO 9001 certified quality management system (QMS) for Synopsys’ DesignWare IP and meets further quality requirements in the automotive sector.
