Embedded vision kit debuts at embedded world
The C-Vision kit combines two Basler dart cameras, an adapter board, and an AI accelerator board to the MCVEVP FPGA development board.
The company has based the kit around the Cyclone V SoC-FPGA as the ARM architecture is power-efficient, has defined resources and can be used in a decentralized manner. The FPGA also allows more flexibility for the connection and control of different sensors and actuators.
The base of the C-Vision-Kit is the MCV System-on-Module (SoM) on a MCVEVP baseboard, which allows a 7-inch TFT display and capacitive touch screen to be easily added. The C-Vision adapter can be used to connect two Basler Dart LVDS cameras, a miniPCIe card with Movidius Myriad X chip, Intel’s Vision Processing Unit (VPU), and a monitor via an HDMI slot.
