The filters are suitable for all kinds of power supplies, frequency converters for drives and traction and converters for solar and wind power systems. Also available are special products with extremely low leakage currents for medical applications.

TDK’s 2-line B84142A*166 Series filters for frequency converters are 10A to 30A/250VAC devices for drives up to 4 kW. They are compact, high performance EMC filters with low leakage current, dedicated for applications with 30 mA RCD use.

3-line and 4-line EMC filters are available in different families for converters and power electronics. All feature compact design and high performance, including the B84143A**166 (10A, 20A, 35A/520V) 3-line filter up to 35A for drive applications, which are the smallest size currently available. They feature low leakage current and are optimised for short motor cable lengths of up to 10m for class C1 and 25m for class C2. Another new standard range of EMC 3-line filters for drive applications is the new B84243A*, Series from 3A to 280A which also features a very compact design and low leakage current of <50 mA.

TDK’s new IEC inlet filters are available in three models: without fuse for 1A to 20A current, with fuse for 1A to 10A current and with fuse plus switch for 1A to 10A current. An optional medical version is available in each type with low leakage current. The devices are all approved to UL/CSA, plus ENEC approval either granted or pending.

TDK’s 2-line SIFI filters are a modular system based on five product lines, covering a wide insertion loss range and different terminal styles. Current rating ranges from 2A to 36A. As well as standard devices, there are medical versions with low leakage current. TDK’s 2 line SIFI filters are UL/cUL/ENEC approved.

TDK’s EPCOS EMC filters offer a number of output solutions, including different output solutions for drives, dv/dt choke and dv/dt filters, since-wave filters and TDK’s proprietary SineFormer EMC sine-wave filter, which removes the need for shielded cables.
