The European Innovation Council (EIC) has detailed 48 companies in its scale up programme across quantum computing, renewable energy, security and smart mobility.

The next generation computing cohort for the EIC scale up programme includes Dutch AI chip designer Axelera AI and quantum computing startup Multiverse Computing in Spain as well as automotive software developer Basemark and Israeli GaN chip developer VisIC.

The smart mobility cohort includes mid range European drone delivery aircraft developer Dronamics as well as Elaphe’s in-wheel motors.

“On behalf of all the partners working together to turn the EIC Scaling Club into a ‘catalyst for scale’, we welcome the first 48 companies into the fold. In unison with our investor, corporate, mentor and media stakeholder members, we will ensure that the selected deep tech companies derive as much value for their businesses as possible, as fast as possible,” said William Stevens, co-founder and group managing director of Tech Tour, coordinator of the EIC Scaling Club.

“Time is of the essence when building category leaders in the deep tech sector, and our goal is to accelerate our company members on their scale-up journey,” he added.

The EIC Scaling Club is an EIC-funded initiative run in partnership by Tech Tour, Bpifrance (EuroQuity), Hello Tomorrow, Tech.eu (Webrazzi), EurA and IESE Business School.
