The Heterogeneous Technology Alliance (HTA) VTT in Finland, Fraunhofer in Germany, CSEM in Switzerland and CEA-Leti in France and their expertise in processing, circuit design, modelling, and characterisation.
Printable, flexible electronics can be used in many areas, from sensors, batteries, photovoltaics and lighting, but the main obstacle to substantial market penetration has been the inability to achieve the necessary device performance combined with the necessary high-volume production methods.
