Everspin, Bosch, SilTerra join forces on MRAM, sensors
As part of the agreement Silterra will provide additional manufacturing capacity for so-called Toggle MRAM, a form of MRAM that predates spin-torque transfer MRAM. Toggle RAM requires more energy to flip bits but is highly reliable.
Everspin is seeing increased demand for toggle MRAM the industrial, computing, medical, and transportation markets and said it will continue to produce Toggle MRAM and TMR sensor products at its own manufacturing line in Chandler, AZ, USA. operated under a cleanroom lease and manufacturing agreement with NXP.
