eFlex is comprised of three core component sets: the eFlex small form factor mainboards with multiple MiniPCIe, mSATA and Expresscard slots, the eFlex compact and interchangeable enclosures, and non-proprietary mPCIe, mSATA and Expresscard expansion boards.

The FB800 is Ibase’s first eFlex mainboard using the Intel Atom processor D2700. Packed onto its compact 190x110mm form factor are three industry standard MiniPCIe sized expansion slots, an Expresscard slot and a 2.5” SSD/HDD dock. There is also a standardized set of external I/O connectors affording full interchangeability amongst eFlex boards and chassis. Subsequent eFlex board offerings will inherit these attributes. eFlex enclosures are mechanically interchangeable between eFlex mainboards (thermal dissipation capacity permitting). They feature standardized I/O bays and plates. At launch, Ibase offers two industrial enclosure solutions – the slim line AFB100 and the double deck AFB200. The AFB100 offers a low profile (30mm) solution with one auxiliary I/O bay for additional connectors from mPCIe expansion cards. The AFB200 offers a double height configuration with three auxiliary I/O bays. An externally accessible SSD/HDD bay and 12V DC input is standard; 6~34V DC input is optional. Both enclosures also feature the unique Highly Adaptable Mounting (HAM) system configurable to 5 different mounting schemes. eFlex systems utilize the Expresscard, mSATA and MiniPCIe expansion cards to facilitate expansion and customization.
