The new agreement means that Farnell is the only high-service distributor to sell Omega products in Europe. Omega manufactures a range of products for measurement and control of temperature, humidity, pressure, strain, force, flow, level, pH and conductivity.

Omega targets designers in the aerospace, automotive, wireless, test and measurement, process control and power monitoring industries.

The new products included in the agreement include:

• CN16PT-330 PID Controller: Omega’s Platinum Series of microprocessor-based PID controllers provides flexibility in process measurement and is simple to setup and use. The controllers provide universal inputs that support thermocouples, RTDs, thermistors, process voltage/current and strain, while sampling data at up to 20 samples per second with a 24-Bit ADC. The devices offer connectivity through a standard USB, optional Ethernet and RS232/ RS485 with Modbus Serial Communications.

• NOMAD OM-91 Temperature Data Logger: This small, battery-powered data logger is lightweight and easy to use for accurate temperature logging. The GUI is designed to be intuitive, and the device has LED status indicators and a USB interface for fast data transfer. The temperature logger is primarily intended for use in transportation applications to prove that a material in-transit has remained within environmental limits.

• OS136A-1-K IR Temperature Sensor/Transmitter: A tiny, cheap, non-contact and high-performance infrared temperature sensor with integrated transmitter that comes with a 1.8m shielded cable for power and output connections. It has two measurement ranges of -18 to 202°C and 149 to 538°C. The devices has industry standard outputs for easy integration with all meters, controllers, data loggers, recorders, computer boards and PLCs.

• FL-500 Series In-line Flowmeters: The flowmeters have rugged construction and are designed for easy installation. They provide direct-reading flow rates for water and air at atmospheric and 6.2 bar (90 psi) pressures. Settings can be easily adjusted using a screwdriver. Proximity switches can be added for specific flow rates. FL-500 Flowmeters can be used for flow rate indication for liquids, gases and steam.
