Fast CAN transceivers with integrated ESD protection for vehicle body networks
HVDA551-Q1 and HVDA553-Q1 reduce overall system cost and size, while offering design flexibility with two device configurations. The HVDA551-Q1 and HVDA553-Q1 meet the demanding requirements of US OEM testing without the need for external protection diodes and common-mode choke. Applications in which these new devices may be used are automotive body control modules, infotainment and advanced driver assist systems (ADAS), vehicle gateway nodes and rear-view camera modules.
By using the HVDA551-Q1 or HVDA553-Q1, engineers can eliminate the need for up to two external protection diodes per transceiver; there are two transceiver choices to meet system requirements, the HVDA551-Q1, with the ability to shift IO level voltages; and the HVDA553-Q1 with a common- mode bus stabilisation output. Both devices also have under-voltage lock-out (UVLO) protection and dominant state timeout features. Simulation models for both are available.
In an 8-pin SOIC package they cost $0.60 (1,000)
