Fast Ethernet switches are optimized for harsh environments

The comprehensive certification, robust design and extended temperature range (-40 to +75 degrees Celsius) of the industrial switches ensure high availability in industrial environments. Areas of application are Smart City, Industry 4.0, Automation.

In intelligent, networked cities in particular, robust products are required, for example for public WLAN hotspots or the surveillance of public places. Therefore the DIS-100E switches have a higher stability than conventional switches and prove to be particularly insensitive to weather influences.

The new industrial switches have numerous certifications. For example, their resistance to vibration, shocks and falls is certified according to IEC60068-2-6 (vibration), IEC60068-2-27 (shocks) and IEC60068-2-32 (falls). In addition, the new models comply with the CSA C22 and CE standards, which certifies their comprehensive electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). The switches can therefore also be used in particularly demanding EMC environments.

To make optimum use of the space in control cabinets, the switches impress with their compact dimensions of just under three (DIS-100E-5W) and just under four (DIS-100E-8W) centimeters high.

The devices are immediately ready for operation and do not require any configuration. They can be installed immediately via a clip for DIN rails. Wall mounting is also possible.

The DIS-100E series housing contains no moving parts. Therefore, maintenance and failure rates can be reduced to a minimum. In addition, the chassis is optimized for heat dissipation and therefore does not require a fan. The power supply connections are redundant. An alarm contact reports possible power supply failures.
