Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari N.V. have entered into a strategic technology collaboration to accelerate Ferrari’s digital transformation. Qualcomm Technologies will become Ferrari’s systems solutions provider for the next generation of Ferrari road cars, as well as a premium partner for the Scuderia Ferrari Formula One team and the Ferrari eSports team.

Ferrari will work with Qualcomm Technologies to use the Snapdragon Digital Chassis to bring advances in automotive technology to Ferrari road cars. The Snapdragon Digital Chassis consists of open and scalable cloud-connected platforms required for next-generation vehicles. The portfolio of solutions includes telematics and connectivity features, the digital cockpit and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) capabilities, and uses a unified architecture to deliver enhanced safety and integrated digital capabilities that can be updated throughout the life of the vehicles. Under the agreement, Qualcomm Technologies and its partners will also be involved in the design, development and systems integration of Ferrari’s digital cockpits.

Qualcomm Technologies will be a premium partner of Scuderia Ferrari’s Formula One team from the start of the 2022 FIA Formula One World Championship racing season. The Snapdragon logo will be featured on Scuderia Ferrari’s new F1 race cars. In addition, the eSports activities of the brand from Maranello will also be part of the official partnership.
