
Ferroelectric Memory Co. puts Spansion veteran in charge
FMC is a startup founded in 2016 to resisitive RAM non-volatile memory based on ferroelectric effect in thin films of hafnium-oxide, a material that is otherwise in common use as the gate insulator in CMOS transistors.
Pourkeramati has had five months as chief operating officer at FMC prior to the promotion and joined in May 2019 with 35 years semiconductor industry experience.
Most recently Pourkeramati was a managing partner at Influence Capital Partners. Before that he held multiple roles at Spansion Inc. and Cypress Semiconductor from 2005 to 2015. He held both senior management and technical positions after an engineering career in which he received 15 patents on non-volatile memory.
