Firecomms wins German court case against Broadcom
The Munich Higher District Court issued a written judgment stating that the appeal against the judgment of the Munich District Court I of April 2018, is rejected and that plaintiff must bear the costs of the appeal. That court ruled that Firecomms’ FR05MHIR and FR10MHIR RedLink products do not infringe the German designation of Broadcom’s European Patent No. 1 511 198 B1.
Firecomms was founded in Ireland in 2000 and was acquired by ZJF Group, an integrated plastic optical fiber system and solutions provider located in China in 2010 and it has since been in China-Ireland company with joint headquarters in Cork, Ireland and Tongxiang, China.
Firecomms conducts research and development in Ireland and in China has high-volume automated production and testing. Prior to the acquisition by ZJF shareholders in Firecomms included Atlantic Bridge, ACT Venture Capital, Swisscom Ventures, Alps Electric and Enterprise Ireland.
