First healthcare-focused design on Analogs’ 3D ToF technology

By eeNews Europe

Time of Flight (ToF) principle is a method of measuring how long a light signal travels between a sensor and an object. ToF creates a depth mapping of objects within the field of view and is a key technology used for developing digital vision, delivering high precision, sub-nanosecond real-time sensory data, overcoming signal disturbance challenges. Smart sensing technologies are being introduced into healthcare products and devices to enrich user experiences and deliver superior functionalities. This integrated design will be used by Hubble Connected, an IoT platform that provides connectivity and services to Motorola-branded smart nursey products, to create these intelligent and intuitive nursery products.

ADI offers products and solutions to directly enhance the capabilities of 3D ToF systems, including processing, laser drivers and power management, along with development boards and software/firmware to aid in quick implementation of 3D ToF solutions. To help engineers accelerate prototyping and product development activities using ADI’s 3D ToF technology, Arrow now offers an evaluation kit which includes the AD-96TOF1-EBZ mezzanine card, a complete analog front end (AFE) from ADI, along with a Qualcomm DragonBoard 410c.
