Atmel has also teamed with Conexant to enable soft modem implementation on the new SAM9 devices. The new Atmel SAM9 “5” devices also include an advanced graphics LCD controller with hardware acceleration for more modern user interfaces in today’s industrial applications. The Evaluation kit consist of a main board, a display module (for devices featuring an LCD) and a CPU module board for each different SAM9”5” device. The SAM9”5” family is packaged in BGA217 0.8mm ball pitch.
