Leoni’s new Industrial Ethernet cable has a bandwidth of 10 Gpbs and withstands 5 milion torsion cycles. In addition, it is available in an “easy-to-strip” variant that enables quick finishing in the field. The cable meets the requirements described in the Profitent Type C 4 pair standard.

With these features, the cable suits applications where high torsion stress is a constant factor. Its high ruggedness is in part owed to the high-flex outer sheath of highly elastic polyurethane (PUR) which in addition to being elastic features high abrasion resistance and protects against oil and grease. Thanks to the admixture of flame-retardants, the outer sheath also meets the fire protection requirements according to IEC 60332-1-2.

All four wire pairs in the cable are wrapped with a fleece foil, adding to the mechanical stability of the cable. Due to its optimized electromagnetic shielding with a coverage of 98%, the product reaches the highest EMI suppression class.
