Flexible testing and programming for in-line situations
The Rapido has been developed in particular for complex assemblies with very high-density designs such as BGAs, which are difficult to access but fast to place, often creating a faster line rate. With a specially developed mechanism, the Rapido ensures that the precise contact on both sides of the board being tested is achieved even at higher needle numbers, providing a low-maintenance and very fast access method.
With further development of the proven Goepel in-system programming technology it offers a larger conveyer, which supports boards input buffering with widths up to 400 mm, thus reducing handling times. Various electrical and mechanical optimizations and variable adaptive conveyer speeds as well as the built-in self-test function make the Rapido RPS910 a versatile multi-product inline programmer. The new version RPS910-S32 has been designed for processing up to 32 UUTs or devices in parallel. The new hardware concept allows that true parallel programming of different targets on one assembly can be achieved.
Also part of the new Rapido is the FID module (Fixture Identification and Data), essential for a system flexible enough to be used on a mixed product line with multiple fixtures. Designed for intelligent identification and data storage, the module ensures the compatibility of the adapter with the boards under test and configures automatically the entire test system for the project, such as conveyer settings or test program selection. Furthermore, it stores the entire maintenance history of the adapter and automatically indicates necessary maintenance such as needle change.
