Former IAR chief joins Swedish DSP startup
Wolf joins the company as CEO and a member of the Board of Directors from Texas Instruments where he had been a senior manager in the wireless division, and was previously CEO of IAR in the early days.
Wolf replaces Per Löwenborg, co-founder of SP, who has served as interim CEO since April and now re-assumes the role as CTO and a member of the Board of Directors.
"SP Devices is at the forefront of digitally enhanced analog. Some of the most influential customers in ADC semiconductors for radio base stations as well as within advanced test & measurements are already using technology from SP Devices which addresses some of their toughest challenges" said Wolf.
The company was founded in 2006 and is backed by Nordic investor SEB Venture Capital. The company has worked with LeCroy and e2V on advanced DSP designs. "We welcome Tomas’ experience and leadership to the SP Devices community," said Rolf Hallencreutz, Chairman of the Board. "His results-oriented approach in combination with his strategic capabilities will play a pivotal role in accelerating the growth of our business.
