The BERTWaveTM MP2110A is aimed at developers of backbone networks and data centres that are increasingly use 100G Ethernet to meet anticipated traffic demand for services such as 5G and are considering implementing 400G Ethernet.

The optical modules used in these networks includes NRZ/PAM4 signaling, multiple channels, and different wavelengths, which previously required expensive high-performance test systems.

The four channel option halves the unit cost per channel, while maintaining the same performance, by supporting the multichannel operation in hardware as well as software. The sensitivity supports wide optical signal analysis from 25 Gbaud NRZ to 53 Gbaud PAM4 with built-in clock recovery option.

The BERT function has the same waveform quality and sensitivity as the R&D module, with clock recovery built-in as standard. It supports Ethernet, eCPRI/RoE, CPRI, SDH/SONET, OTN, InfiniBand and Fibre Channel protocols as well as the CFP2/4/8, SFP28, SFP56, QSFP28, QSFP56, OSFP and QSFP-DD Optical Transceiver Modules.
