Four new Arduino STEAM learning products
Arduino Education has also announced a partnership with the Fraunhofer Initiative: “Roberta – Learning with Robots” in Germany.
The four new Arduino Education products are the CTC GO! Motions Expansion Pack, Engineering Kit Rev2, Arduino Education Starter Kit, and IoT Starter Kit complement existing offerings, including the Science Kit, CTC Go!, CTC101, the Arduino Starter Kit, and the Certification program.
CTC GO! Motions Expansion Pack
For ages 14 and over, the pack features more complex programming concepts. Intended for students that have used the CTC GO! – the expansion pack takes students a step further in computing and design and intrduces motors and transmission mechanisms such as pulleys and gear concepts that develop their logical reasoning, hands-on building skills, and problem-solving skills. The pack is supported by webinars, videos, guides, and direct contact with an expert.
IoT Starter Kit
Also for ages 14 and up, the IoT Starter kit teaches students about the Internet of Things and sensors; automation; logging, graphing and analyzing sensor data, and triggering events. The kit has ten different projects with step-by-step tutorials.
Engineering Kit Rev2
The Arduino Engineering Kit Rev2 is intended to develop physical engineering skills for students of 17 years and upward. Featuring cutting-edge technology, the kit is a practical, hands-on tool that demonstrates key concepts, core aspects of mechatronics, and MATLAB and Simulink programming. Developed in partnership with MathWorks, The Engineering Kit Rev2 has three projects to teach the basics of engineering.
Arduino Education Starter Kit
For younger students of 11 years and older, the Education Starter Kit teaches the basics of programming, coding, and electronics. The kit requires no prior knowledge or experience there are step-by-step teacher guides, and lessons can be paced according to students’ abilities.
Fraunhofer Initiative partnership
Arduino Education has also partnered with the Fraunhofer Initiative’s “Roberta – Learning with Robots”. The Arduino UNO WiFi Rev2 board, part of Arduino CTC GO!, joined the Open Roberta Lab.
Arduino UNO WiFi Rev2 is the fourth Arduino board to be integrated into the Open Roberta Lab, which currently supports 13 robots and MCUs. The lab is the technological component of the Roberta Initiative, which was started by Fraunhofer IAIS in 2002.
