The interface card aims at a broad range of applications, in particular for PC/104-Plus computers deployed in the scope of R&D activities. The galvanic isolation of each CAN port protects the electronics against external voltages up to 500 V. Furthermore, the extended temperature range of -40 to +85 °C ensures operation even in rougher conditions. If required, up to 16 CAN channels are available by plugging four cards together.
Like all CAN interfaces of the PCAN series, the PCAN-PC/104-Plus Quad comes with the CAN monitor PCAN-View for Windows and the programming interface PCAN-Basic. Device drivers are available for Windows 7/Vista/XP and Linux, each in 32-bit and 64-bit editions.
