FPGA and MCU-based Arduino now at Mouser
The Intel Cyclone 10 FPGA has 16K logic elements and 504 Kbyte embedded RAM, while the 32-bit Microchip SAM D21 Arm Cortex-M0+ MCU has 256 Kbyte Flash and 32 Kbyte SRAM. The board also contains a 2 Mbyte QSPI Flash chip, 8 Mbyte SDRAM, and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and dual-mode Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity. Other board features include a Mini PCI Express connector with up to 25 user-programmable pins, MIPI camera connector, and a Micro HDMI connector.
The board also offers fifty-six 18-bit × 18-bit hardware multipliers for high-speed DSP applications. The FPGA pins can toggle up to 150MHz and are configurable as common communications ports such as UART, I²C, and SPI. The Microchip ECC608 CryptoAuthentication IC combines hardware-based key storage with hardware cryptographic accelerators to implement authentication and encryption protocols.
The MKR VIDOR 4000 uses the Arduino MKR form factor and pinout to allow developers to add MKR shields and accessories.
