Fraunhofer HHI releases update to open-source radio channel model QuaDRiGa
These simulations are used, among other things, to assess the performance of new technologies. For example, the comparability of different procedures for the standardization process in committees such as the 3rd Generation Partnership Project 3GPP can thus be shown.
QuaDRiGa was developed at Fraunhofer HHI to enable the modeling of MIMO radio channels for specific network configurations such as indoor, satellite or heterogeneous configurations. In addition to an entirely three-dimensional geometric-based stochastic channel model, QuaDRiGa includes a collection of features developed in SCM(e) and WINNER channel models, as well as novel modeling approaches that provide functions for a quasi-deterministic multi-link tracking in receiver motions in changing environments To allow.
The new version of QuaDRiGa contains some new features and is also calibrated with the 3GPP 3GPP channel models and the latest New Radio channel model. The open source MATLAB / Octave implementation is freely available at https://quadriga-channel-model.de
