The newly available footprints allow engineers worldwide to quickly and effortlessly integrate Osram’s components in their designs, without having to individually create digital models for each component in their designs. Users can now simply drag-and-drop Osram components into their designs, saving days of time. The models can be downloaded for free from SnapEDA’s electronics design library, as well as from websites of Osram’s franchised distributors that support SnapEDA models. Osram products that will be featured on SnapEDA include the Synios P 2720 series high-power IR illumination LEDs, the IR Oslon Black family with integrated lens and the IR Topled D5140 portfolio. Supported electronic design formats include Cadence OrCAD, Allegro, Altium, Eagle, KiCad, PCB123, Proteus, and Mentor Graphics PADS. The PCB footprints have been created based on Osram’s recommended land patterns or IPC-7351B standards when applicable.
