The kernel is fully backward compatible, meaning upgrading from version 6.x is as simple as replacing the kernel source code at build.
A port to TI’s low power MCU, the MSP430x family, via Code Composer Studio has also added, bringing the number of official ports to 52, across 27 different MCU architectures.
Each official port includes a documented pre-configured example application, demonstrating the kernel features.
