Featuring the new Kinetis MKL26Z128VLH4 MCU, the KL26Z Freedom Development Platform offers design engineers high processing power at a low cost, making it the ideal board for evaluating the latest KL26/16 devices. The development platform is available through Newark element14 in North America, Farnell element14 in Europe, and element14 in Asia Pacific.

The Freescale Freedom development platform KL26Z will be available for $15 and is designed for low-power consumption devices with high processing demands, supplying 32-bit processing power alongside a broad set of analog, communication, timing and control peripherals. The KL26 offers designers the highest memory and pin counts of the KL2x range of devices, as well as incorporating a full speed USB 2.0 On-The-Go controller with an integrated low-voltage regulator.

Other features include 128 KB flash memory, 12-bit DAC, 16-bit ADC and standard communication peripherals, including I2S. Onboard extras include a capacitive touch slider, 6-Axis Xtrinsic Sensor with Integrated Linear Accelerometer and Magnetometer, tri-color LED and Arduino form factor compatible headers.
