Fujitsu to build SoCs for R&S instruments

The Munich-based measurement instrument manufacturer however said that the company obtains customised semiconductors from Fujitsu since more than ten years. The latter’s expertise in the area of semiconductor design, in particular in the segment of application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) is the foundation for the partnership between these two companies.
For companies like R&S it is essential to offer unique selling proposals in terms of functionality and versatility. "To keep and develop our market position, we need a strong and reliable technology partner", said R&S vice president who oversees the of Test and Measurement division, Roland Steffen.
