Think Silicon now specializes in developing and licensing high-performance graphics, display controller and machine learning IP technology for ultra-low power and area-limited digital devices.
Think Silicon’s flagship product family, the NEMA GPU, offers a graphics solution for SoCs. The company claims its graphics is ten times more power efficient than any other GPU available on the market. Presumably this includes Mali cores from ARM, PowerVR from Imagination and Vivante GPU cores from VeriSilicon.
In 2019 Think Silicon has secured development and licensing contracts with STMicroelectronics and other companies.
Think Silicon plans to release extended GPU and Display Controller IP for higher graphics performance segments, as machine learning IP technology for edge-applications.
The funding will go towards expanding Think Silicon’s engineering team in Greece with additional hires in IC design and software groups at the Patras and Athens sites.
