Jake Moir, Managing Director of Gresham Power Electronics, commented: "In the majority of cases customers requiring a bespoke power solution have to commit to expensive development costs and high minimum order quantities. Frequently the design house is outside the UK leading to extended and delayed lines of communication and offshore manufacturing adds logistic complications. Gresham Power Electronics has been designing and manufacturing power conversion products in the UK for over forty years and we are very pleased to be able to offer this expertise to customers unable to find an off-the-shelf power solution.”

The Gresham Power custom design service is available for low minimum order quantities, offers flexible arrangements for design costs and NRE, first samples are typically delivered in 12 weeks from specification approval, EMC and safety agency approvals can be provided and high volume manufacturing in Asia is available if required.

Moir Said: “We can really offer a one-stop shop for just about any power conversion requirement. A typical custom design solution recently provided by Gresham was for a very wide input power supply for outdoor event lighting systems which had to operate with up to 277VAC input taken from street lighting supplies in the USA.”

In addition to custom power solutions the full Gresham Power Electronics product range includes; OEM power supplies for advanced multi-media applications, industrial, communications and broadcast systems. Hot-swap power shelves and products for telecoms, medical, industrial and commercial applications as well as static frequency converters, DC UPS, distributed power systems and DC:AC inverters for naval defence systems.
