HARTING and Sennheiser partner on headset converters

The components from the new production facility will be used in premium headsets – the MOMENTUM True Wireless and in-ear monitoring headsets for professional applications on stage.

HARTING Applied Technologies created two customised production machines for Sennheiser. The first machine produces the chassis. Two contact strips are separated and bent in an injection moulding tool before over-moulding. A second machine manufactures a magnet system from two metal components, a magnet and plastic overmould. Both machines perform a 100% test on the components. Handling of the individual components and the finished parts is done by a robot. The magnet system and chassis are later assembled into a converter.
