Singapore is the base from which the globally active manufacturer of outdoor and architectural lighting plans to boost sales of LED products in the region. Latest studies forecast strong growth opportunities in the LED segment in Asia-Pacific. According to management consultants McKinsey, the value of the LED share of the lighting market in Asia (excl. China) is set to grow from €1 billion in 2011 to €13 billion by 2020. A growth rate of similar magnitude is anticipated in China, a market in which Hess AG has already been represented for many years through its Beijing-based sales office.
