A range of high current power inductors from Cooper Bussmann features low DCR specifications and a high maximum operating temperature: HCM series inductors are rated for a high maximum operating temperature of 125°C. The core is made from powdered iron material and is magnetically shielded for low EMI.

HCM0503 series inductors occupy a 5.5 x 5.3 x 3.0 mm max surface mount package, an inductance range from 0.20 μH to 1.0 μH, a current range from 8.5 to 22.2A and a frequency range up to 1 MHz. HCM0703 series inductors measure 7.4 x 7.0 x 3.0 mm max (surface mount package), have inductance range from 0.15 μH to 10.0 μH, a current range from 3.2 to 52A and a frequency range up to 5 MHz. HCM1103 series inductors are 11.5 x 10.3 x 3.0 mm max, span 0.12 μH to 22.0 μH and 3.0 to 75A.

Target applications for the new range of high current power inductors are voltage regulator modules (VRMs), multi-phase regulators, point-of-load modules, desktop and server VRMs and EVRDs, base station equipment, notebook regulators, battery power systems, graphic cards, and data networking and storage systems.
