It is available in 3.3 and 5.0V versions with an accuracy of ±3 percent.

The sensor is suitable for such applications as DC fast charging, server, telecom and industrial power supplies, robotics and manufacturing Systems, home automation & IoT applications, appliances, inverters, motor control and other applications.

The MCx1101 current sensor has a fast response and high bandwidth making it suitable for wide bandgap, SiC and GaN based power stages. The output step response is 0.3microseconds. The MCx1101 also provides an integrated over-current detection flag to help implement the over-current detection now required in power systems. Over current detection response time is as short as 0.2microseconds.

The sensor utilizes an industry standard SOIC-16 package with a 0.9 milliohm impedance current path and are UL/IEC/EN60950-1 certified for isolated applications.

This sensor delivers a unique combination of high accuracy, 1.5MHz signal bandwidth with industry benchmark phase shift versus frequency, fast output step response and 4.8kV isolation.

In addition to the ±65Amp version, Acienna’s current sensor family includes ±50, ±20, and ±5 ampere ranges, and is offered in both fixed gain (MCA1101) and ratiometric gain (MCR1101) versions.
