The Andromeda XZU90 system-on-chip (SoC) module (SOM) from Enclustra combines high-end Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+™ MPSoC-series devices with fast DDR4 ECC SDRAM, eMMC flash, dual parallel quad SPI flash, dual Gigabit Ethernet PHY, and USB 3.0 to form a complete and powerful embedded processing system. This module is suitable for high-speed applications due to the high number of transceivers and the superior module connector performance.

Thanks to its built-in Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC ZU17EG or ZU19EG device, the Andromeda XZU90 is the optimal product for the most demanding applications. The SOM integrates up to 8 GByte of fast DDR4 SDRAM with Error Correction Code (ECC), a 16 GByte eMMC flash and a dual 64 MByte quad SPI flash. For communication, it offers up to 5 x PCIe Gen3 x16, Gigabit Ethernet PHY and USB 3.0 thanks to the 76 MGTs with up to 25 Gbit/s – all on a tiny footprint of just 80- × 64-mm.

The Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC is manufactured in a 16 nm FinFET+ process and has 6 ARM® cores: four 64 bit ARM Cortex™-A53 with a clock frequency of up to 1333 MHz, and a 533 MHz 32 bit ARM® dual-core Cortex™-R5. The processors are supported by a Mali™-400MP2 GPU.

Enclustra offers broad design-in support for their products and a comprehensive ecosystem for the Andromeda XZU90, offering all required hardware, software, and support materials. Detailed documentation and reference designs make it easy to get started. A user manual, user schematics, a 3D-model, PCB footprints and differential I/O length tables are all provided.

To build a Board Support Package (BSP) based on PetaLinux, Enclustra offers extensive guidance. Also, the necessary adjustments for the different boot modes (QSPI, eMMC, SD Card) are explained in detail.
