High-frequency air core inductors suit dense board assemblies
The 1111SQ Series is available in seven models with footprints from 2.67×2.67mm. The spring was engineered to have a unique, square shape that has been optimised for coplanarity, resulting in a flat top and bottom for reliable pick and place operation and mechanical stability on the PC board. Solder-coated leads also ensure excellent solderability.
These latest additions to Coilcraft’s growing line of high-frequency square air core inductors offer current ratings to 5.5 A, making them suitable for use as chokes in high-current RF power amplifiers for cellular towers and high-power radar. Their combination of performance, inductance values, and tolerances as tight as 2% also make them ideal components in DOCSIS (Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification) applications such as set-top boxes and cable modems.
