The MAAM-011186 is designed for customers who require a highly linear variable gain amplifier (VGA) for network access equipment and head-ends in the hybrid fiber coax (HFC) system. This device offers 39 dB of gain and 3 dB of noise figure with 31.5 dB attenuation range all delivered in a single 7 mm RoHS compliant PQFN package.

The MAAM-011186 is an integrated two stage differential amplifier with embedded digital step attenuator. The amplifier delivers 36 dB MER performance loaded with 39 channels at 52 dBmV per channel. Nominal power dissipation is a low 2.2 W — making it ideal for high density cards and compact system amplifiers. The MAAM-011186 is suitable for replacing legacy discrete implementations.

Covering 5 to 300 MHz, this device delivers 22 dB of input and output return loss. The device can function off either an 8V or 5V voltage supply to provide the ultimate versatility to the system designer.
