High-performance SoM is based on STM32MP1
The nS02 SoM is built around the STMicroelectronics’ STM32MP1 MPU operating at 800MHz. The STM32MP1 MPU features dual Arm Cortex-A7 cores supported by a Cortex-M4 core and a 3D GPU for advanced HMI development. The module can be used as a full production design and is supported by a development kit available from Arrow. It is targetted at applications requiring IoT connectivity, multimedia capabilities, and high security, such as smart IoT controllers and gateways, cloud edge interfaces, and building automation.
The nS02 has been developed to be rugged for use in many applications. The device can be soldered directly onto the main carrier board and doesn’t need separate connectors that may reduce the system’s reliability. The board measures only 25.4 x 25.4 x 3.0mm and enables the design of extremely compact, ultra-slim products.
The nanoSOM nS02 comes with a production-ready Linux RT BSP and fully supports the Exor XPlatform, which includes Exor Embedded Open HMI software, Corvina Cloud IIoT platform, and IEC61131 CODESYS or Exor xPLC runtime. An optional OpenHMI software platform helps with the design of SVG and HTML5 graphical user interfaces, and assures device connectivity with over 200 communication protocols. MQTT and OPC-UA interfaces are provided along with cloud connectivity to allow easy implementation of telemetry and remote assistance applications through the OpenVPN software.
The nS02 SOM is available in several configurations, providing options for different memory capacities and a security option. These include 256MB or 512MB DDR RAM with 4GB eMMC flash disk, or 1GB DDR RAM with 8GB eMMC flash disk.
Exor has a product longevity program to ensure a stable supply of products. nanoSOM nS02 products will be available for a minimum of 10 years from time of product launch.
