Also to be launched at February’s Embedded World exhibition will be Swissbit’s first DDR4 DRAM module, which delivers significantly higher data rates without equivalent increases in power consumption; and security series memory cards in micro SD form factor that will help deliver the data and device protection that is becoming essential as the Internet of Things (IoT) grows.

Swissbit’s Security series PS-100u for highly integrated storage-based security see additions to the series, PS-100u PE and PS-100u DP, in the micro SD form factor, available with and without a Smart Card; these enable, for example, Secure Voice, cloud authentication, data protection and contact-free security.

Next-generation SATA III 6Gb/sec bandwidth SSDs now feature the X-60 series with sustained throughput performance up to 525 MB/sec and random IO performance up to 75,000 IOPS. The X-60 series (pictured) uses Swissbit developed hardware and firmware feature sets to address today’s demanding embedded storage applications, which place a premium on performance, reliability and endurance throughout the product service life. X-60 series drives are available in capacities from 16 GB to 480 GB and support today’s industry standard form-factors (e.g., mSATA (MO-300), Slim SATA (MO-297A), m.2 (SM2280) and CFast).

The company’s first DDR4 ECC SODIMM, an 8GB ECC SODIMM at DDR4-2133 speed, for the current generation of embedded boards in the industrial space, achieves higher data rates with the same power consumption, optimised data bus termination, dynamic bus inversion, and CRC protection of the command/address bus.
