High voltage Y-connector family aims at electric vehicles
The Generation Y high-voltage (HV) connectors are designed for the signal current range from 4 to 10.5A and a rated voltage of up to 432V. The connectors are designed to save space and meet the high-voltage requirements of hybrid and electric vehicle batteries (HEV).
The members of the HV Y-connector family have plastic safety barriers that meet IEC IP2XB, UL840 and IEC 60664 standards. They also provide appropriate clearance and creepage distances as well as finger protection, which is extremely important in the HV environment.
The connectors are tested to USCAR-37 high-voltage specifications. Product options include two 10-pin and 18-pin connectors with corresponding PCB sockets and a 22-pin wire-to-wire connector system. The connectors are available in four different encodings.
