HighTec compiler supports Nuclei RISC-V CPU core

HighTec EDV-Systeme has added support for Nuclei System Technology’s RISC-V CPU IP to its automotive-grade LLVM open-source-based C/C++ compiler.
The tools are safety-qualified according to ISO 26262 up to ASIL D for Nuclei’s functional safety-certified RISC-V cores.
Nuclei has received two Exida ASIL-D product certifications for its NA300 and NA900 RISC-V cores in the last two years, which confirm the high security and reliability of Nuclei’s automotive-grade products.

Starting from scratch, Nuclei has developed four general product lines (N/U and NX/UX), and three vertical product lines (NS, NA and NI) with over 250 customers. The N/U (SV32) are 32bit processors aiming for edge computing, low power and IoT application while the NX/UX (SV39 and SV48) are 64bit processors aiming for high-end applications like data centre, networking and storage.
The NS (Security) is designed for security application like payment and finance; the NA (Automotive) is specifically designed for automotive electronics functional safety application; NI (Intelligence) is designed for high performance computing applications like AI.
The HighTec C/C++ automotive compiler is designed to meet all the technical requirements to take full advantage of the performance and safety features of Nuclei’s RISC-V cores. The compiler is based on the modern LLVM (Low Level Virtual Machine) open-source technology and is known across the industry for its fast build times and its advanced code optimizations. HighTec’s functional safety certified C/C++ compiler comes with a qualification toolkit, which speeds up the development and certification of functional safety automotive applications.
