Hitachi chooses NetComm Wireless to enable smart energy communications
Designed to interoperate with mobile networks globally, NetComm Wireless’ communications technology will allow Hitachi to deliver smart systems that facilitate the efficient use of energy resources worldwide.
Hitachi is responsible for the development of ICT infrastructure that adds smart control capabilities to installed devices, and selected NetComm Wireless to custom design wireless communication technology that enables the remote collection, management and analysis of energy data in real-time.
"Hitachi is a world leading innovator with a longstanding commitment to address some of society’s most demanding challenges and we look forward to working together to redefine the way that energy is managed," said David Stewart, CEO and Managing Director, NetComm Wireless.
"Japan is an important market for us. Our collaboration with Hitachi and Kanematsu Communications demonstrates our capabilities in engineering smart city technologies that can be scaled to support large roll outs globally. Our partnership approach is to work with leading innovators to help countries achieve their emissions reduction targets, and transform the future of energy," said David.
