How much is an antenna engineer worth?
But this is specialized engineering that sails close to physics and materials science; not your standard digital design or even your more refined analog circuit design although it is close.
Well eeNews Europe can tell you exactly what an antenna engineer is worth, at least according to the recruitment panel on the front page of www.eetimes.eu
I have just noticed we are running the EU Job Offers panel and in it you can find an advertisement for a job for an experienced RF antenna engineer to work somewhere in Germany on basestation antenna development. The successful applicant is expected to have knowledge of a variety of wireless systems including wireless local area networks, global positioning by satellite and 3G and 4G cellular communications.
And the successful applicant will be able to take home between €75,000 and €90,000 each year. That is equivalent to between £60,000 and £72,000 or between $100,000 and $120,000.
How do you compare? Time to think about a new job while the market seems relatively buoyant? Check out the jobs panel on the right at www.eetimes.eu
