HV connector system is designed for hybrid and electric drives
With the new connector system, automotive manufacturers can benefit from a powerful connection system for their next generation vehicles. With a voltage rating of up to 1,000V and a current carrying capacity of 100A at 85°C, the HVA 1200 HV connector system is specifically designed for a safe and reliable connection between the charging interface, on-board charger and battery.
The system includes a pin tray and two plugs, which are designed for both 180° and 90° insertion. The focus is on an equally new HV contact, the PCON 12, with a possible cable cross-section of 5.0mm2 to 16.0mm².
For maximum flexibility in installation space design, the pin trough can be combined with either a 90° or a 180° connector. In addition, the system has a built-in and UL-certified finger protection, which is crucial for touch safety in the HV environment.
