Hyperspectral imaging acquisition in under a fifth of a second
imec has announced its second generation, high-speed SNAPSCAN hyperspectral imaging camera, which uses an ultrasonic speed piezo motor stage and innovative software to acquire high resolution hyperspectral images in under 200ms.
The SNAPSCAN hyperspectral camera combines high SNR and high spatial and spectral resolutions with the user friendliness of a snapshot hyperspectral imaging camera. The camera takes care of the scanning internally using its miniature ultrasonic piezo scanning stage, meaning that there is no need for external scanning movement. The camera has a spatial resolution of 3,650 x 2,048px (7MPx), and a spectral resolution of 150+ spectral bands over the 470 – 900nm VNIR spectral range and the 600 – 975nm NIR range. imec’s hyperspectral imaging acquisition software allows specific spectral regions to be selected, which provides images in under 200ms
The ultrasonic SNAPSCAN hyperspectral imaging cameras will be demonstrated at SPIE Photonic West, and will available to purchase from April 2018.
