IAR and NexCOBOT to develop collaborative robots
IAR has announced its collaboration with NexCOBOT. The collaboration will leverage the certified IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm to support functional safety development for NexCOBOT robots — advancing the future of smart manufacturing with collaborative robots.
NexCOBOT is a robot controller provider and operates as a subsidiary of the industrial computer manufacturer NEXCOM. They are dedicated to constructing open and modular robotics products and services, ranging from robot motion control systems, robot functional safety control boards, robot motion joint controllers, peripheral IO interfaces, and robot safety certifications to robot design consulting services. The company offers functional safety on Renesas Electronics’ RZ/T2M MPU series facilitating the development of embedded robots and automation controllers with functional safety capabilities.
In 2023, NexCOBOT integrated German smart robot technology with the globally exclusive PC-based SIL2/3 robot functional safety control platform, introducing a robot control system that complies with the IEC 61508 standard.
In the rapidly expanding robotics sector, NexCOBOT is at the forefront, providing innovative robot safety function kits that seamlessly integrate with existing robotic equipment.
