IFA 2025 wrapped up in Berlin with strong numbers, new formats, and a wave of product launches that underlined its role as the world’s largest home and consumer tech event. With more than 1,900 exhibitors from 49 countries and 220,000 visitors, the show confirmed its position as a key platform for industry players.

For eeNews Europe readers, the developments highlight how quickly consumer electronics is shifting around AI, robotics, connectivity, and content creation—areas with direct impact on European innovation and markets.

Innovation on display

Spread across 190,000 square meters, the show floor was packed with hundreds of product debuts and world premieres. Artificial intelligence in everyday devices, robotics, smart homes, gaming, and content creation all took center stage.

The new IFA Innovation Awards proved a standout success. With more than 500 entries, the program gave brands a high-profile launchpad for global product introductions. The momentum reinforced IFA’s reputation as the go-to showcase for both established giants and ambitious challengers.

Conference activity was also brisk. Press conferences jumped by 16%, while keynotes drew bigger crowds than ever. The new Friday afternoon keynote slot, for instance, attracted 50% more visitors than in 2024.

Expanding formats and creator economy

IFA 2025 also leaned into new and growing formats. The Retail Leaders Summit drew international retailers and tech majors, including Microsoft and AMD. Other popular zones—such as the Beauty Hub, Creator Hub, and Mobility Track—combined curated content with interactive activities.

The Creator Hub in particular captured attention, with more than 1,200 influencers and content creators attending, a 50% jump from last year. That surge reinforced IFA’s positioning as a stage not just for hardware, but also for content-driven ecosystems.

Outdoor attractions such as the Gardening & Cooking zones and the RoboCup added to the visitor experience, while the IFA Sommergarten proved a magnet for younger audiences, featuring concerts and live podcast events that drew thousands.

Global spotlight and strong backing

IFA’s international profile grew as more global media, distributors, and startups engaged with the show. Political figures such as Dorothee Bär and Robert Habeck made appearances, alongside tech personalities.

Leif Lindner, CEO of IFA Management GmbH, summed it up: “IFA 2025 has once again demonstrated how closely technology, trade and culture are linked today. We are proud that IFA has once again become the meeting place for the international tech world this year and that we are setting new standards for international cooperation.”

Looking to 2026

With major names like LG Electronics, TCL, and Vestel already confirmed, IFA 2026 is shaping up to be another flagship event. It will run from 4 to 8 September 2026 at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, further cementing IFA’s role as the global meeting place for home and consumer tech.
