IGBT module current boosted to 150A
EconoPIM modules are characterized by a high integration of different functionalities. For example, each contains a three-phase rectifier, a brake chopper, a three-phase inverter and a thermistor (NTC) for temperature measurement. With a blocking voltage of 1200 V, the new EconoPIM 3 achieves a maximum rated current of 150 A – the highest current rating for this type on the market.
The housing is equipped with a base plate and corresponds to the industrial standard when dimensioning. It can therefore easily be incorporated into existing designs. When used in drives, the EconoPIM 3 therefore allows up to 30 percent more output power with the same design. The modules use the IGBT4 chip with Trenchstop technology, which is very well proven and offers high robustness and reliability.
The new EconoPIM module with the features 1200 V / 150 A is optionally available with solder pins or PressFIT pins. This applies to all variants with the IGBT4 chip in trench-stop technology. In addition, the modules are optionally available with thermal interface material (TIM). The new performance modules are available in volume production, samples are available.
